The author believes that the only way to bring the reform in the thoughts of the immoral people
who freely act out their unethical and immoral desires is to expose them to the words of truth and virtue.
 
Moral Coat is designed to inject words of reform into the immoral and unethical people. The ears are
 connected to the funnels through the long hoses to listen well to the words of truth and virtue.

The mouth and the eyes of the person are covered to eliminate distraction. Both arms and
legs are restrained to repress his violent behavior.

2006 Gongju International Art Festival

Concept of my work "Humag"
The title "Humag(a man made of flag)" is a compound of ‘human’ and ‘flag’.
Chinese characters ‘人間 (human being)’ were originated from hieroglyphs patterning after two men standing from the side. This image became a motive of the work.
 
Human being that defines itself as ‘the lord of all creation’ and show its characteristics as ＜Homo sapiens＞, ＜Homo faber＞, ＜Homo loquens＞, ＜Homo politicus＞, ＜Homo economicus＞, ＜Homo religliosus＞, ＜Homo artex＞, ＜Homo magicus＞ and ＜Homo ludens＞ acquires value of its existence through social activities.

Human activities as social animal were expressed metaphorically through ‘flagman; waving in the wind.
